The news just keeps getting worse

For home owners on the coast the news just keeps getting worse.  The 2022 Sea Level Rise technical Report from NOAA is a scary document.  It predicts a 10-12inch average sea level rises in the next 30 years.  For the east coast 14-18 inches, Gulf 4-8 and west coast 8-10.  But looking further into the future the report says that if more is not done to curb climate change the seas will rise from 3.5 to 7 FEET by 2100.  That will be an epic disaster.  Even the smaller numbers predicted for the next thirty years while not seeming especially bad are in fact bad.  For while the rise is a matter of inches that combined with storm surges and flooding is going to destroy coast lines.  While real concern goes first to the communities on the shore which will suffer the other result will be the destruction of beaches unless they are allowed to move inland which will not happen unless towns move first.  All this is dire news for those who love to go to the beach.
